La célula… ¡con disfraz entra!

ALUMNADO de Biología y Geología de 1.º ESO C, sección bilingüe

El viernes 12 de febrero, los alumnos de Biología y Geología de 1.º de ESO C de la sección bilingüe estrenamos el disfraz que habíamos estado elaborando durante algunas sesiones de clase a lo largo del mes de febrero. ¿De qué íbamos? Pues aquí lo tenéis… ¡de células!

Como habíamos estado trabajando la Unidad de la estructura y composición de los seres vivos, nuestra profesora nos planteó la idea de realizar el disfraz como una actividad que nos permitiese reconocer y aprender bien las partes de las células, sus funciones y las diferencias entre las células animales y las vegetales.

Así que nos pusimos manos a la obra. Goma EVA de diferentes colores, tijeras, silicona caliente y un poco de imaginación. Paso a paso, fuimos dando forma a la membrana plasmática y pared celular y fueron apareciendo en nuestras mesas cloroplastos, mitocondrias, centriolos, ribosomas… y unos cuantos orgánulos más que, aunque al principio nos sonaban un poco extraños, acabaron por convertirse en nuestros amigos. Era imposible no saberse la estructura y función de las diferentes partes de la célula, ya que la profe no nos dejaba pegar nada, si antes no le decíamos la función de aquello que queríamos pegar.

Queríamos compartir con todos vosotros esta actividad tan divertida. Por nuestra parte, estamos seguros de que este tema no se nos olvidará nunca.

The cell… Much better with a costume!

On Friday 12th February, we, the students of Biology and Geology of 1st ESO C of the bilingual section, wore for the first time the costume we had been working on during some sessions throughout the month of February. What was it about? Well, here you are… cells!

Since we had been working on the Unit on the structure and composition of living beings, our teacher suggested the idea of making the costume as an activity that would allow us to recognise and learn the parts of cells, their functions, and the differences between animal and plant cells.

So, we got down to work. Foam of different colours, scissors, hot silicone and a bit of imagination. Step by step, we shaped the plasma membrane, the cell wall, chloroplasts, mitochondria, centrioles, ribosomes… and a few more organelles appeared on our tables. Although all those names seemed a bit strange at first, they ended up becoming our friends. It was impossible not to know the structure and function of the different parts of the cell, as the teacher wouldn’t let us stick anything if we didn’t tell her the function of what we wanted to glue first.

We want to share this fun activity with all of you as we will never forget this topic -that’s for sure.
